John is an experienced courtroom litigator with over 35 years of litigation experience. His practice is concentrated in the areas of Trusts and Estates and Commercial disputes, including employment issues and construction contracts. However, he also practices problem solving issues regarding the fiduciary obligations of trustees, executors of estates, investment advisors, professionals and the obligations of corporate directors.

He has successfully represented litigants at the Ontario Superior Court and the Ontario Court of Appeal. John has also assisted many clients at various administrative tribunals in Ontario, such as the Investment Dealers Association, the Ontario Human Rights Tribunal, and the Association of Professional Engineers professional panels.

In the community, John is a member of the Law Society of Ontario, the Ontario Trial Lawyers Association, the Ontario Bar Association, the Hamilton Law Association, and a senior member of their Wills and Trusts sub-committee. He’s also a long-time Ti-Cats fan, an avid canoeist, hiker, skier, and occassional mountain biker.
